How It Works

All the watches listed are in the possession of Loupe This for the duration of the sale and will then be shipped to the winning bidder by the Loupe This team. Each watch is inspected, photographed, and cataloged. The entire sales process is managed internally, allowing clients to bid with absolute peace of mind. Creating a complimentary membership account is simple and quick.

01. Browse & Save

New watch auctions are added daily. As a member, you can browse all the listings or narrow your focus by filtering results based on personal preferences. You can also add any watch (current or completed listings) to your favorites, making it easy to manage your personal selections.

02. Vetting Process

Each lot is meticulously scrutinized and vetted by our team of experienced watch experts, ensuring that every watch on Loupe This is collector worthy. A detailed description of the condition of each watch is included in its listing.

03. Bidding

Bidding on a watch is easy and secure. Once you are signed in to your account and have fully set up your payment information, simply click the “Bid Now” button and enter the amount that you wish to bid.

Bidders pay a 10% commission on top of the ‘hammer’ price.

04. Commenting

Each listing will feature a comments section that allows the Loupe This community of watch aficionados, collectors and enthusiasts to offer their opinion on each lot. Interested bidders can engage in discussion and seek advice from the community, gaining additional insights and knowledge. In the end however, each watch goes to the highest bidder!

05. Two Minute Rule

At Loupe This, we believe that the clock stops when the bidding stops. We adhere to a “Two Minute Rule”, meaning that in the last two minues of each sale, a subsequent bid will extend closing time by an additional two minutes. The auction closes when those two minutes have elapsed with no further bids.

06. Winning

If you are the successful high bidder, your credit card will automatically be charged an amount up to the entire 10% buyer’s fee. A maximum of $10,000 will be automatically charged, with the balance (if any) of the buyer’s fee to be noted on the final invoice. At this point, you will receive an emailed invoice with payment instructions on how to complete the transaction. Included in the invoice will be shipping and insurance costs, as well as any taxes we are obligated to collect. Based on shipping address, you may be liable for additional taxes and/or duties. Please refer to our conditions of sale for more information.

All payments are due within 7 days of invoicing, and can be made via wire transfer or credit card (up to $50k , with a 3% surcharge. There is no surcharge on the portion of the buyers fee automatically collected at the end of the sale).

Buying the Seller

How many times have you heard the phrase “buy the seller, not the watch”? With Loupe This essentially playing the role of ‘the seller’; you can now buy the seller AND the watch!
