Introduction
A classic piece of 1960's Vacheron Constantin design, the ref. 7813 features a 25mm wide tonneau-shaped case with short lugs that enable this stunning timepiece to tightly hug the wrist, as was the fashion at the time. Crafted from 18k gold and featuring an unapologetically understated white dial, the ref. 7183 is a remarkably reserved timepiece with the level of sophistication that we have come to expect from Vacheron Constantin. Manually wound and fitted with the Vacheron Constantin cal. K1014 (produced by JLC), the ref. 7813 is an authentic example of vintage mid-century Haute horology as watchmakers focused on creating exceedingly beautiful timepieces instead of the hyper utilitarian watches that we have today.

The overall condition of the watch is excellent. Dial is in superb shape, exhibiting no signs of aging or deterioration. Case shows a clear hallmark, which is consistent with light wear and minimal to no previous polish. Caseback has faint surface abrasions. The Vacheron Constantin strap and buckle appear to be original to the watch.

Our Perspective
A lovely classic tonneau-shaped watch by Vacheron Constantin- a brand that is most certainly underappreciated compared to its peers. A rare and unusual model, this 7813 is in excellent original conditon.
